The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), formerly known as the Delaware Valley Human Resource Network (DVHRN), is dedicated to providing a local forum where African Americans can share, gain information and provide leadership on issues affecting their individual careers and the quality of work life for other African Americans.

This nonprofit organization provides its members with a forum to exchange ideas and share information. Through quality programs and special events, HR Professionals will be better prepared to serve as leaders, business partners, and decision-makers within their organizations.

Mission

As an organization, the Philadelphia Chapter of NAAAHR demonstrates and communicates quality and excellence in supporting African Americans in corporate, educational, non-profit, and entrepreneurial Human Resource functions.

Goals

The Philadelphia Chapter of NAAAHR strives to fulfill its mission by providing:

• Effective programs that support professional growth & development, knowledge, and skills;
• Opportunities for networking and building relationships;
• Opportunities to bridge connections with other chapters, other organizations and student forums;
• Opportunities to partner with the National Organization (NAAAHR);
• A resource for information, expertise, updates, legislation and practices pertaining to human resources; and
• A role model for other Chapter affiliates.
